This is a little known Reverend Gary Davis song. Until recently it was not an easy piece to find.
Stefan Grossman, I believe has catalogued this song in recent years. I based my arrangement of
"16 Tons" on this song, and you'll notice that it ends with that same great e- lick. You can also
work your way backward when learning this just as we did with "16 Tons".. I've always liked
the chord change used on line 1, third and fourth measure. That D/F# triplet going to C then back to
D is quite different, and very hip. Remember that Gary Davis used his right hand thumb and index finger
only, and it's the best way to emulate his sound. Notice the first and second measures of line one and
